Originally designed in the 1950s by Alvar Aalto for the National Pensions Institute building in Helsinki, the A333 Turnip is an elegant and timeless pendant light . The A333, known as the "Turnip" for its organic shape, combines elegance with simplicity to stunning effect. When in use, light emerges through the circular recesses near the top of the lampshade, serving to emphasise the pendant light's rounded form.

Constructed from hand-spun steel with a brass or white-painted perforated steel ring, the A333 light creates a halo effect around the pendant light while simultaneously reducing glare. Featuring a minimal yet sculptural design, the A333 Turnip Pendant Light is ideal for softening and elevating sometimes stark modernist spaces.
